About

We make our fiends by hand, moulding, casting and finishing in small batches, this making process and especially the finishing (the wax, paint or patina) value imperfections and peccadillos, allowing each creature to retain a sense of character ensuring each one is truly one of a kind.

….And therefore limited in numbers.

We announce on instagram when new releases are dropped, you can subscribe and receive emails by signing up to our occasional mailing list on the contact page.

New creatures will be introduced gradually, as stories emerge and forms take shape. Those who follow along, or join the mailing list, are the first to meet them.

No.1 Shuck

(Black Shuck, old Shuck, Shug, Hairy Jack, Shucky)

Many tales are told of the flat lands of East but the most beloved of all is Shuck, the demon dog of East Anglia, who has roamed here for a thousand years. Haunting the coastline, marshlands and graveyards, terrorising churches and abbeys. First recorded in 1127, some say as an omen, some say a protector, but always huge with shaggy fur and fiery eyes. Now hundreds of sightings and eerie encounters later here is your very own shuck.

No.2 The Norwich book Bat

Norwich, the UNESCO city of literature, inspiring and birthing authors, storytellers and writers throughout the centuries… And the home of the Norwich Book Bat, who can be found haunting bookshops, libraries and any dusty book shelf. Norfolk has at least 12 resident bat species, including the rare Barbastelles… but this book bat may be more closely related to the vampire species which Norfolk also has a long history of.
